Our History

Francisco's Cuban Café in Rochester, MN is named after our owner, Francisco Corripio. At just three years old, Francisco and his family escaped their native homeland of Cuba, and they eventually settled in Miami.

After a devastating medical diagnosis, Francisco left his 35-year career as a banker and relocated with his wife and children to the Mayo Clinic area.

Our inspiration for opening our restaurant was not only to do business as a family, but to also taste the filling and hearty dishes we once knew in our hometown of Miami. Today, our café is known for truly authentic Cuban cuisine, made family-style and the traditional way.
